An East Coast Adventure · Episode 1 of 4 · long-form on YouTube

Poor weather scuppered the Belgium trip, so with the boat already loaded, an East Coast adventure ensued: four legs, four episodes, from headwinds off Harwich and 9.2 knots across the Thames Estuary to a windless 18.5-hour solo night passage home through the shipping lanes. Real small-boat passage-making, start to finish.

Trusted by Sailors and the Sailing Press

A community of sailors on boats of every size – sharing their setups, debating gear and asking real-world questions. The highs, lows and grit of boat ownership are shown as they happen, and that honesty is why they trust what they see.

“Thank you so much for sharing all this amazing small boat content. I sail a Catalina 22 on the open Pacific off the southwestern coast of the United States. Seeing your setup and the confidence you have in your boat has helped me build both my sailing skills and my confidence in what these small boats can do.”

Offshore Proven

Elise has completed three expeditions from the UK to Belgium – six North Sea crossings through busy shipping lanes, wind farms and pilot stations – plus a 2026 East Coast mini-series. Every passage is planned with safety first, using traditional charts, routing software, high-end navigation, redundancies and emergency systems.

Built By Hand

Maintenance and upgrades, done by hand: keel restoration, rudder rebuilds, an NMEA 2000 navigation network, solar and lithium power, diesel heating, high-performance rigging and a homemade bowsprit, built and ready to install – all documented in detail.

How We Work Together
